There are many ways in which we can add versatility to our wardrobe, and using color is one of them. Today I share with you 4 tips to make it easy for you to add color to your outfits.
1. Make one of the pieces the centerpiece.
The centerpiece can be patterned or vibrantly colored. This will be the piece where the eyes will be directed. Use this as a reference to know what other colors to use in your combination.
2. See what colors the main piece has.
Following this first point, use the prints of the centerpiece as a guide of what colors to use in your combination. If you see, for example, that the piece has a blue, orange and green pattern, use one of these colors in your combination. If you want to keep it more demure, use these colors in your accessories only.
3. Use the same color family.
When playing with color, another helpful tip is to leave it in the same color family. This will save you complications.
4. Don’t be afraid to have fun.
To be honest, the only thing keeping you from combining colors is fear. The fear that it will look bad or that people will not like it. Remember that the only person who has to love your outfit is you! If you follow the first three tips, there is little chance that you will be wrong, so take a risk!
See ya!
